My Hypnobirthing classes aim to create serenity while reducing fear, pain and anxiety leading up to and throughout your labour. Classes are delivered in either English or British Sign Language (BSL).

What is Hypnobirthing

Hypnobirthing aims to reduce fear, pain and anxiety and encourages a positive mindset during childbirth. It is delivered using a mixture of relaxation, visualisation and self-hypnosis. It is known to shorten labour and leave mothers feeling in control and confident. Knowing your rights lead to an empowering labour and birth, as well as having the confidence to make decisions that are best for both the mother to be and the baby.

How Hypnobirthing Works

Hypnobirthing is a method of pain management.Through a mixture of self-hypnosis, relaxation and breathing techniques a woman can bring her body into a state of deep relaxation which allows the muscles to work the way they are meant to during childbirth. It encourages the woman to use positive affirmations, suggestions and visualisations to relax her body, guide her thoughts and control her breathing.
